WaterCad 10.03.01.08 64 bit
I've got a very small model (12 pipes, 2 pumps) I'm using to simulate a small force main system. I've set it up as an EPS run.
When I export the model (File --> Export --> Excel) ALL EPS timesteps are exported, but I only want several timesteps exported.
I know I can select a timestep in "Times", then open up Flextables for the various elements and export to CVS from there, but that's a lot of work, and I'm lazy.
Is there a way to have Watercad export all element data for only 1 timestep using the File --> Export option?
TIA.
Hello Gary,
You can change the simulation run time as per your requirement in the Calculation Options for your EPS run. So if you have setup an EPS run for 24 hours but don't want the results for only 6 hours starting from 9 AM then change the "Start Time" to 9:003:00 AM and "Duration (hours)" to 6. Compute your model and then export the results to Excel.
See this article which explains how you can change the run duration in an EPS analysis: Where do I go to change the analysis type, timestep, duration, etc?
Hope this helps.

Thanks Yashodhan. Had not thought of doing that. At the very least it will reduce the Excel file size.
Another possible option is to use variable reporting times. This can be set up to only report at certain times (which you want to have included in the Excel output). See: How can I set the time steps to just certain hours in the calculation options?

Thanks Jesse! That's exactly the solution I was hoping to find.
Note to anyone planning on using this option: If you want the reporting to stop at a certain time (i.e. - say you have a 24 hour EPS run but want to stop reporting after 5 hours) you MUST do the following:
1) Set the final ">= Hydraulic Time (hours)" entry in the "Reporting Time Steps" dialog box to the time you wish to stop recording
2) Set the "Type" for this last entry to "<None>"
