how can I simulate fire flow over a 8 hour duration? Ie I want to know if my system can sustained fire flows for 8 hours? I am assuming that the my demand is steady throughout the day? Would it be the same as running a steady state simulation?
If you want to consider how the fire flows affect tank levels and pump switching, yo are much better off setting up an 8 hour extended period simulation run.
An 8 hour fire seems very long. Most standards require a 2 or 3 hour duration. This must be a massive structure.
