PONDPACK - Scenario creation

I have a base scenario and 2 child scenarios. Each child scenario I want to have a different outlet structure on my pond. I have them in different topology alternatives but every time I change the outfall structure on one child scenario it changes for all. Is there a way for me to have a different outlet structure on each child scenario that I have?

  • Mayra,

Taking a closer look at your screenshots, I see that each scenario is using the same physical alternative. The selection of the composite outlet structure is stored in the Physical alternative so if you would like to have different composite outlet structures in the different scenarios, you will need to use different Physical alternatives.

The Active Topology alternative is used when you want to have certain elements turned on or off in a certain scenario. This is typically used in PondPack in pre vs. post development scenarios where a pond may not exist (and is set to inactive) in a predevelopment scenario and turned on (is active = true) in a postdevelopment scenario.

This is addressed in the following related article in our Wiki: Using different composite outlets in different scenarios in PondPack
