Short integer data type support in WaterGEMS Modelbuilder

When using modelbuilder in WaterGEMS for ArcGIS Pro to import data from ArcGIS Geodatabase Features, I'm missing all fields that have a Short Integer datatype. Fields with a Long Integer datatype do show up. Is this a bug in modelbuilder or is this by design? I'm trying to import data directly from our GIS source-database, it is widely used within our organization so unfortunately changing all short data-types to long data-types in the source database is not possible.

  • Joeri - quick update: our developers have a patch prepared to fix this issue and are currently testing it. We'll let you know when available. If you have not done so already, you will need to upgrade to the latest version of WaterGEMS, 10.03.05.05.

  • Hi Jesse,

Ok, we're currently running WaterGEMS 10.03.04.05. As soon as the patch is available I'll initiate the update action (update to 10.03.05.05 and install patch) for our IT provider. Implementation might take a while (it normally takes anywhere between 2 - 6 weeks for tickets at our IT provider to be processed).

  • Hi Joeri, as discussed via private message, it is possible that we may have a new version release of WaterGEMS before the end of 2021. Are you able to work around this and wait for the next release (which will include the patch), or is this preventing you from continuing your work progress?
