hello Bentley Community, I am reaching out for in regards to the application of the "Grate Type " for hydraulic prototypes for our client- who has a Inlet standard-Type D-H, as shown in attached PDF. Type D-H inlets are used typically on roads with steep longitudinal slopes. The flow enters the Upstream bar Grate side of the inlet first (curved vane) and the splashover flow will enter the structural steel grate on the downstream side of the inlet,. My question is, what type of Grate would we assign for hydraulic calculations in a catalog? To be able to build a prototype for this type of inlet, does Haedstad offer any custom grate selection in such scenarios? Is it a good call to assign curved vane since majority of the flow enters the upstream inlet first? Please provide any advice or direct me to any discussions available for special grates like these. See attached PDF & word document.DOCX I appreciate any input for this. thank you!
