Is it possible to use WaterCAD/WaterGEMS for water mass balance type calculations? We have the reservoir inlet flow meter and the water level data for a 1 ML tank and I am trying to work out the corresponding outflow from the tank as there is no flow meter on the outlet. I set up a model (attached) with a junction representing (enforcing) the inflow and a reservoir with a head pattern representing the water level in the tank but that's as far as I was able go. The results are still very much dependent on the hydraulics i.e. inlet & outlet pipe diameters, lengths, roughnesses etc. Obviously, I can set up and do the water balance calcs in Excel but it would be a lot easier if there was a way to do in WaterCAD/WaterGEMS perhaps with the potential to deal with even more complex water balance problems.Water balance example.wtgpkg.zip
You may want to look into our WaterSight product that does a water balance in line with AWWA/IWA guidelines..

If you're interested, we could have someone contact you.
If you use the model to determine the tank flows, the results will vary depending on system hydraulics (as it should). If you change something in the system, the tank flows will change.
Thank you Tom. I actually found out about WaterSight earlier this morning before posting this message and don't know anything about it. It is great to hear it does water balance and perhaps many other things. I will have a read and be in touch if need further details about its capabilities.
There is going to be a webinar on some aspects of WaterSight in about an hour at
