High Alram in wetwell

Hi,
I am trying to run a sewer model with a wet well that is expected to overflow... The model keeps showing "False" for " Is Alarm triggered" even when HGL goes above the high alarm level...? Any clues? do I need to adjust any option in my model to handel this..

I am using SewerGEMS v 10.03.02.04... Many thanks!

  • Hello Lamyaa,

I assume you are using the GVF-Convex (SewerCAD) solver. I tested this in a sample model using the latest version of the application and did not see the issue. Based on that, you may want to consider upgrading to see if that helps. This link has the steps to upgrade. The latest version of SewerGEMS is 10.03.04.53.

Please check that you have the alarm value is within the operating range of the tank. In addition, you may want to look at the operating range type for the tank to make sure the input make sense. If you are using Level as the operating range type, this assumes that values entered are relative to the base of the tank. If you are using Elevation, the value is relative to sea level. More information on operating range type can be found here: Understanding Tank Operating Range. The high alarm uses the same operating range type as the tank itself, so you also want to make sure that if your operating range type is set to Elevation that you are using an elevation for the alarm as well.

If that doesn't help, we will need to see a copy of the model files.

    Regards,

    Scott
