In the Hammer model for a hydropower project, I am getting the error message for the downstream surge tank that " The root sought is not obtained for Iteration-1". How to resolve this?
Did you upload file to Sharing model files.? If yes what is name of uploaded file?

It appears that you are using an old version from 12 years ago - 08.11.02.31. This version is no longer supported per our Support Policy. Please upgrade to our CONNECT Edition for full support: Downloading OpenFlows Software
I was able to compute the model successfully in the latest version of HAMMER CONNECT Edition. I believe the error you're encountering was resolved many versions ago so you can find other evidence that upgrading helps in past posts like this one.

Can you please share the zip file of the model after running in the latest version. Else share the sqlite file of this model which you had run.
