Importing multiple demand values to one unique meter ID in WaterGEMS

Hello! I am trying to import demands to customer meters in WaterGEMS. Within the billing data I want to use for demand allocation, some of the meters have multiple demand values with different usage rate codes. For example, in the image below, 1000026837_14WOOD DUCK may have one demand value for Residential usage and one demand value for Irrigation usage. I would like to import demands and match them to their respective meter IDs without losing the data on the meters with multiple demand values. Is there a way to do this as part of an automated tool or process, or is the only way to do this manually?

Thank you in advance!

  • There is actually a workaround to apply 2 different types of demand to customer meters: Use the base demand & pattern for the normal demand, and then use the unit demand for the second (irrigation) demand. Use the following field values in unit demand:

Number of Unit Demands -> use this field for the irrigation "base" demand of the customer meter.

Unit Demand -> Create an Irrigation Unit Demand (Components -> Other Tab -> More -> Unit Demands) of the count type with a base demand value of 1 and assign this to the unit demand field in the customer meter.

Pattern (Unit Demand) -> use this field for the hydraulic pattern corresponding to the irrigation demand.
