HelloWhen I import the .dxf file to the WaterGEMS Software, the node in AutoCad is incorrectly recognized as polygon (and Entity column set Area) (first picture) and I cannot define it as a Junction(second picture). How can I fix the problem? Is there a way to solve this problem in the WaterGEMS Software?I think the problem is that in AutoCAD, the junction should be defined as points. but how?
How to define a point in AutoCAD ,that has the ability to become a junction?
Hello Ehsan,
When you want to create junctions in WaterGEMS, the data in AutoCAD / GIS has be prepared as point and not polygon feature type. When you are importing polygons those will be created as pump stations, while points will be imported as pumps, valves, junctions, tank reservoir etc.
Importing an AutoCAD or MicroStation CAD file using ModelBuilder
You would need to convert polygon data into point type externally using CAD or GIS products, once done you can import points CAD/ shapefile which will create junctions in WaterGEMS using Modelbuilder.
In CAD, look for option to create centroids. All attached data will pass to the point. mapcreatecentroids. Or convert CAD data to shapefile and use GIS products to convert polygon data to point data.

Yes that's right.I sincerely thank you for your response. There is VLX file that add to Autocad and then you can convert circle to point by command. The command C2P converts selected circles to points.
