SewerGEMS Conduit Slope (Calculated) not using user defined Stop Invert

Hello,

I am creating a storm network and am having issues with the calculated slope for conduits.

I have nodes (manholes and catch basins) with defined inverts that are collecting multiple conduits. The conduits have higher stop invert than the node so I 'Set Invert to Stop?' to false and enter a defined invert.

However, the conduit slope seems to only reference the node inverts and not the user defined ones. How can I change them to reference the defined values?

Thanks.

  • Hello Christopher,

The slope of the conduit is dependent on start and stop invert of conduit and length of the conduit, not connecting nodes. ((Start invert - Stop invert) / Length) See below screenshot.

Are you using user defined length? Try to compact database to see if that helps, File>Database utilities>Compact database.

If this doesn't help then please provide more details, screenshots.

  • Sushma,

I ended up restarting my computer and logging back into Bentley. The conduits are now using the defined Stop invert instead of the node invert. I am not entirely sure what happened but it fixed itself.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Christopher,

Glad to hear that it is working now. You may want to try temporarily changing one of the inverts to confirm that the slope is updating accordingly.
