Runoff generated over a waterbody

Hello,

I'm simulating a network which is having few ponds. for the rainfall captured over the Pond area, Inserted a dummy catchment and assigned the pond surface area.

just wondering, whether there is any direct way to do that.

  • Hello Nishadi,

If you want to model lets say direct flow into pond coming from stream which is not affected by weather then you can draw a dummy catchment as you are doing already, with user defined hydrograph as runoff method, see below article for more details.

How to model fixed flow into a pond

Or if you know the direct inflow into the pond, then you can enter it as inflow wet collection in pond and enter the fixed flow or pattern load or hydrograph load as well. See below screenshot, so you wont need to draw dummy catchments in that case.
