Hello,
I'm simulating a model with implicit solver. I'm getting a continuity error which is less than 5%. I'm simulating 1 hr storm for 24 hr duration. when I extracting results, in a one outfall (freefall), in the latter part of the outflow hydrograph a constant flow value was observed (it was expected to be zero after like 4 to 5 hrs).
When I observe the flows in the upstream of the network, I found this stretch which first create such constant flow value at the end of the outflow hydrograph.
How can such constant value can be generated? (I'm using SCS CN method for runoff generation, have changed certain parameters to reduce the continuity error. Using SewerGEMS latest version)
Thanks and Regards
Nishadi
The Virtual Flow Depth calculation option may need to be adjusted in this case. See: Purpose of the Virtual Flow Depth Calculation Option
If this does not help, you may need to adjust other advanced calculation options, ignore the small "ghost flow" or try using the Explicit (SWMM) solver: Troubleshooting unstable SewerGEMS and CivilStorm results using the implicit solver
