Greetings,
I have defined the Thiessen polygons and the water meter shapefile layers in a water model, prior to inputting them to LoadBuilder.
I have also added to the water meter point feature shapefile, a new field including the demands for each water meter. The demands in that new field have been populated according to land use (e.g. large plots, small plots, non-residential, etc).
I just need to confirm that it is ok to keep the "Load Type Field" parameter in LoadBuilder as <none>, since the demands are already classified in the water meter shapefile. I believe this is the case but I need to be sure. Please advise and thanks in advance.
Thanks and best regards,
Amine Salameh
Hello Amine,
With consideration that you are using billing meter aggregation loadbuilder method, when you select "Load Type Field" parameter in LoadBuilder as <none>, in that case no separate demands will be imported like residential, commercial for a node. E.g. if you specify load type in Loadbuilder settings to the field from shapefile, two demands will be associated to a node 34 gpm, 16 gpm. and when you select none total 50 gpm will be assigned to that node. Using load type filed will help you identify the different types of demands. You can try it yourself make a backup copy of your model and test with these 2 settings. The only difference will be classification of demands based on load type, but total demands imported will be same.
How do each of the LoadBuilder methods work?
