Hi everyone
In my HAMMER, speed of animation in the Transinet Results Viewer is very slow, almost 10 times slower than the real time. It takes actually 10 seconds to animation goes forward 1 real second.
Do you have any idea what the problem is, and how to get a real time speed for the animation?
I have already tried to use different Animation Frequency (fps), but is has no effect.
Again, thanks for your help in advance.
Best regards,
Hasan
Hello Hasan,
First, make sure that you are using the latest version of HAMMER. Improvements were made related to how the output files are handled in HAMMER version 10.04.00.108. If you have a Select agreement with Bentley, you can download the latest version using the steps here: Downloading OpenFlows software.
Another thing you may want to adjust is some of the reporting options. The following link has more information: Improving performance of transient simulations (recommended reporting calculation options). For instance, if you have a large model and are reporting results for all reporting points, this will increase the size of the output file and could slow down the animation. If you are not doing so already, try setting the Report Points to use selected elements instead of all elements, choosing key areas of concern in the model.
Finally, try the following. Close the model (you can leave HAMMER open) and use File Explorer to browse to where the model files are saved. Create a new folder and copy just the .wtg and .wtg.sqlite files to the new folder, then open the model from the new location. If there is some issue with one of the supporting files, this may help with the issue.
Regards,
Scott
