In general, if I have something like this below. What would be the best way to represent this chamber in sewer gems?
Is there some type of regulator chamber icon I use?
Or do I use pipes and split them and put controls on them for the weirs? Any advice would be great thanks
Right now I have it with pipes and putting control structures/flap gates on the conduits but getting high continuity errors. Therefore, was wondering if I do not have it set up the best way or if something totally not related to that.
Thanks!!
Paola,
If the "chamber" acts as storage, the pond element may be best. You can use multiple connected pond outlet nodes with control structures configured in the pond outlet node's associated composite outlet structure. I recommend using the Explicit (SWMM) solver with a small Routing Step to achieve stable results. You may need to use 1 second or even smaller.
See:

If this can become surcharged, see: Modeling surcharging of an enclosed storage
