Thanks for the ideas, I will give them a go and see how things fair. In the first instance, we moved to first principles to determine our 9ML target and reservoir turnover feasability, but it would be nice to simulate the conditions and show Operations the expected results in the reticulation. cheers Stephen.

RE: WaterGems: Pump controls based off volume pumped, any ideas?

It may be possible to incorporate a workaround similar to the timer example here, by modeling a copy of the pump station (such that it has the same operating point when it turns on) in a separate "fake" network (which turns on/off at the same time as the real pump), pumping to a 9 ML tank, then use control conditions based on that "fake" tank reaching to the top (or near the top).

But as Scott mentioned, a time-based control (based on observing the time when the desired volume has been pumped) might be an easier approach, even if you have to adjust the time as other model conditions change.

RE: WaterGems: Pump controls based off volume pumped, any ideas?

Hello Stephen,

I do not see an option for volume based controls. The best option would be to try to use time based or system demand controls.

I would suggest including a volume-based control to the Ideas portal for our development team to consider in the future.

Regards,
