Hi! I am currently working for my Capstone design project that involves the use of OpenFlows FLOODS for modelling. I followed the instructions from the youtube playlist for "OpenFlows FLOOD Tutorial" however I am experiencing a difficulty when it comes to the Time Series and output data. When I try to save my file, the software wasn't accepting the file, and when I run a simulation (the NodeTimeSeries file was accepted), it doesnt reflect on the Time Series data and HDF Files. I hope someone could help me out, the deadline was near too and I can't afford to fail. Thank you very much!
Hello Kyla,
It looks like the model is stopping and produces an error message. When this happens no results are generated and no results are written (nor listed in the results area).
Could you check the log file? Please, select the simulation, right-click, and select "View Last Log". A window will appear. You can scroll down to the bottom of the window and check the error message and post it here please.
From what I can see for the videos it seems to me that the drainage network outlet was not well defined. But I would need to check the log file to know for sure what is happening. Make sure that the outlet is correctly defined in the BasinGeometry input options (I and J grid cell indexes). You have to manually check the BasinGeometryInfo.dat that is created when you delineate the watershed and natural drainage network. Open it in the text editor and place the same I and J indexes in the BasinGeometry file. Check the watershed simulation tutorial for details.
Thanks and regards,Luis
Hi sir!
Thanks for your response and interest in my query. Here is the Last log information;
I am not receiving any error message but when I try to input my Time Series Data output in the "basin.dat" section, the software rejects file that I input without any message. Can I do private message if it's alright with you? I would like to share my project inputs with you just to know if I'm on the right track. Thank you!Regards,
Kyla
Hello,
Could you share your model so I can have a look please?
Here is a guide on Sharing Hydraulic Model Files on the OpenFlows | Hydraulics & Hydrology Forum.
Please export the workspace, by going to the menu Workspace -> Manage -> Export to generate an OWS file and then follow the instructions above to upload it. Please let me know when it's there and I will have a look at it.
Hello! I sent you a friend request. Thank you very much!
