I've searched the Bentley site but I can't find any reference to whether or not WaterGEMS V8i will run in Esri's ArcGIS 10. I'm guessing it won't, so does anyone know when to expect a new release of WaterGEMS (and SewerGEMS)?
Thanks,
Frank
The next release of WaterGEMS is coming out in a couple of weeks and it will run in ArcGIS 10. Frank, if you need it sooner, get intouch with me.
Depending on what you are doing, you can use shapefiles created in ArcGIS 10 with older versions of our products.
Thanks Tom. We are still in the planning stages of upgrading to ArcGIS 10, and I was just covering all the bases. We won't actually upgrade until the end of the year at the earliest. I appreciate your quick response!
Any info on wether SewerGems and WaterGems are compatible with ArcMap 10 now? I can't find anything on the web saying if it is or not. Thanks
The latest version of WaterGEMS (SELECTseries 2, build 08.11.02.31) can integrate with ArcMap 10. The next version of SewerGEMS will be able to integrate with ArcMap 10.
FYI if you click the hyperlink in the search results of the product download page, you can see compatibility information:

Just because SewerGEMS doesn't run inside ArcGIS at the moment does not mean that they are "incompatible". You can still work on files from ArcGIS 10 and SewerGEMS. Our stand alone platform is still the easiest way to use our software.
Can WaterGEMS (SELECTseries 2, build 08.11.02.31) integrate with ArcMap 9.2?
WaterGEMS V8i SELECTseries 2 only supports ArcMap 9.3.1 and 10, but you can still use the Standalone version to work with files from 9.2. For example you can import shapefiles or databases created in ArcMap 9.2 (via Modelbuilder) and you can export the model to shapefiles that can be opened in 9.2 (via the export button in the Flextables).
