WaterGEMS - Variable Speed Drive

Dear Bentley

I am trying to Model a VSP pump and I am using WaterGems V8i (Select Series 3)

I want to model a a situation where I got a pump which is greater than the required capacity . So I am planning on using a variable speed system to reduce the flow.

In waterGEMs there are two options for VSP , where option 1 I have to select if it is a VSP and option 2 there is the VSP battery, which one of the options I am supposed to use?.

This is a simple system where a pump is used to pump water from a lower elevation to a high elevation. In both of the above options there is an option to select if it is fixed head or fixed flow and a control node. For my problem is am to use fixed head and select a control node that is closer to the pump?.

What is the relation of the relative speed factor to the above issues.
