Can I show my network sanitary which designed be SewerGEMS Sanitary in Microstation platform as a 3D view?? if yes how can I do that?
Hi Mohamad,
To show your model in 3D, you would need to attach your SewerGEMS Sanitary project to a 3D MicroStation "model".
For sewer, storm and water systems, the 3D model may not be too useful though, as it will look similar to this:

Hi Jesse,
Do you mean I am not able to see as this screenshot
Correct - it will only display the 3d representation of what you normally see in the drawing pane, which is essentially straight lines and the respective node symbols.
We do have an i-model export feature in WaterCAD, WaterGEMS and HAMMER which has an option to export as 3D (to show pipes as cylinders) . This is not yet available in SewerGEMS Sanitary. Below is a screenshot to give you an idea of what a WaterGEMS model looks like when exported to a 3D i-model.
I hope in future we could visualize as the screenshot I have provided.
Here is something I did with the current beta version of SewerGEMS. I took two pipes from different models, say one sanitary and one storm, exported them as i-models and brought them into the same 3-D Microstation drawing. The great thing about i-models is that these are not dumb lines but these have properties which you can view. You can't get that by xrefing in a drawing.
I realize this is simplistic but I did this in about one minute.
That is really supper great tool, and as long as the lines are not dumb lines and have properties to view data; is the properties editable so I will be able to lower the manholes inverts and then bring the system back to SewerGems for hydraulic analysis?
