unsuccеssfull trials for energy cost calculation

Dear colleagues,

I have made working scenarios. When I use "scenario energy cost" tool, the energy usage is obtained (kW/ML), but prices remain 0 (zero). Although the energy pricing is filled up and picked (in column include energy calculation) after.

  • Here is a technote that may help you to make sure you have your data set up properly.  There is also a quick start lesson on energy cost that may help you identify what is causing the prices to remain at zero.

Make sure that you have gone into the energy cost alternative and selected the elements to be included in the energy calculation.

  • In addition to checking units and the setup of your Energy Pricing, another thing you could look at is the "EngCostLessonFinal.wtg" file, located in the "Lessons" folder within your WaterCAD/WaterGEMS installation folder. This example model has scenario energy cost configured already, so you can compare the setup with your own.

If you need further help, consider sharing your model files. There are two options for sharing your files on BE Communities. If you would like other members to be able to see the files, you can upload them as an attachment using the ‘Advanced Reply editor’ before posting. If your data is confidential, you can follow the instructions in the link below to send it to us via Bentley Sharefile. Files uploaded to Sharefile can only be viewed by Bentley.
