• WaterCAD UDF Flushing simulations velocity

When running WaterCAD UDF Flushing simulations, when I isolate out a pipe section in the network, why do other pipes in the network still have flow even though there is theoretically no source?
  • trex not updating elevtion of customer meter and isolation valve

Iam using landxml file as dataset and X-Y unit are in meter and z unit is in meter as in land xml dataset but its showing error as shown below in image attached.
  • How can the WaterGEMS determine pipe diameter automatically based pressure and velocity constraint on optimization by Darwin designer but i'm not having costs of pipe?

darwin designer is asking for cost of pipe.
  • 1. How can there be a flow supply without any flow demand? Can anyone help pe learn about it?

  • Potable Water Distribution Design for communities - use of PRV's

Hi all, I have a general question on the use of PRV's at individual services for a "closed" distribution system, i.e. pumps directly draw from a treated reservoir and feed to end-users with no elevated/pressure tank and storage elsewhere. I have come…
  • How to model discharge to atmosphere point

HI, I'm working on my college project (The project is a plumbing system to drain a 1-m3 tank in the shortest time ). I use the discharge to atmosphere element at the end of the project but I'm really confused with this element's input data like [Flow…
  • Model subdivision phasing

I have a model completed for an entire subdivision and now I want to be able to run small sections to determine possible phasing. How do I do this without deleting everything I don't need at first and adding it back in as required? Is there a way to use…

  • WaterCad Select Series 2 Copy Graph Data Problem

I am having problems with copying data from the graph data tab. My problem is that when I copy all the data the header row is not copied. So when I paste in excel I have no idea what the data in each column represents. This woudn't be a problem if WaterCad…
  • System Head Curve IS NEGATIVE IN ALL PROJECTS

Dear ; In all water projects using watercad or watergems, the system head curve gives negative value which is not correct at all. I attached one project for your review. I appreciate if you can check the system head curve for the attached project…
  • WaterCAD for Reclaimed Water

Any suggestions on how to model a reclaimed water system that delivers water to multiple (bulk) storage ponds? Each pond has a level control and a pressure staining valve. Is there a way to simplify this model, I can't justify trying to model all the…
  • Darwin Calibrator Inactive Elements

I'm fairly new to the software and have been going through the on demand courses. I have a decent understanding of how Darwin Calibrator works but I'm struggling with one thing. I have numerous inactive pipes in my model. Typically these are either…
  • Hydrants VS Junctions. Pros and Cons

Hi All, I have been searching this forum, the V8i Users Guide and trying to figure out what the benefit of using Hydrant Elements is. I am new to WaterCAD but have gone through the tutorials and have completed constructing a decent size model. My junction…
  • WaterCAD age calculation fails

I have run into a recent problem. I've been trying to do a age calculation on our water system and for some reason the largest duration I can calculate is 128 hrs. If I change it to 129 hrs the calculation fails and I get an error: Calculation Engine…
  • Initial conditions,KNOWN water level in the tank in every time step
