Hydrant and junction in a fire flow analisis
Hernan Madrid
Hello!! I´d like to know what´s the difference (in modeling therms) betwen hydrant and junction in a fire flow analisis. i´m using selections sets of junctions in a fire flow analisis but there´s any difference by using hydrants? in visual terms,…

Watergems: I am trying to add new pipes and junctions from dxf file. But junction elevations are not getting reflected after modelbuilder. I am mapping elevation to "elevation". Generally this method works. But it is not working when i am trying
Pankhuri Agrawal
My surveyor gives me point elevations in dxf file, situated along centerline of pipeline. When I build my model in Watergems, i usually map "elevation" attribute in junction to elevation field in AutoCAD file. This ensures that i get accurate point elevations…

Import autocad to watergems
Ehsan Pourhasan
Hello When I import the .dxf file to the WaterGEMS Software, the node in AutoCad is incorrectly recognized as polygon (and Entity column set Area) (first picture) and I cannot define it as a Junction(second picture). How can I fix the problem? Is there…

I have a very large WaterGEMS model and I am trying to make a selection set of junctions only present on pipelines above 4-inch. Is there a way to Query this in the model itself rather than doing post-processing of results in GIS?
Varenya Mehta
We have a lot of 1 and 2-inch pipes and I want to only extract minimum pressure results of junctions present on pipes above 4-inch dia. Any way to achieve this in WaterGEMS query builder? Thanks.

Using LoadBuilder to assign customer meters to nearest pipe
Osama Alawi
I am trying to assign demands to junctions using the LoadBuilder tool, I am using internal data through uploaded customer meter data and I have made sure that the base demand for the customer meters is filled. but after I assign the customer meters to…

How to merge multiple orphan nodes with overlapping pipes?
Pankhuri Agrawal
I imported a model using CAD file (dxf). There are 243 orphan nodes in the network - nodes that are just hovering above pipes. I tried select all and split, but it doesn't work. What could be going wrong? Another person asked this question on forum, but…

Small Pressurized Water Distribution System
Eshaan Patheria
Hello, I’m trying to model a basic water distribution system for a small rural community. They currently have an existing pump and some water distribution pipes in place for just a few houses (30 or so) in the community. Our project is to extend this…

Fire Flow Analysis Downstream of a Pump

Re: Fire flow on existing system

Matt, I can help answer the question that you are getting about negative pressure. It may be caused by a couple of things in your model. There is a good tech note on this particular subject that may apply in your case because you are modeling a connection…
