*The following uses FlowMaster as an example, but this issue has been seen with other programs. The error may not look exactly the same in the other programs, but it will be similar.
When I try to close FlowMaster on a computer with a Windows 7 operating system I get an error that states the following:

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Users\user name for the computerAppData\Local\Bentley\FlowMaster\8\Haestad.Delaware.Forms.FlowMasterParentForm.ToolbarState.bin' is denied.
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy)
Something went wrong with the installation of the program when it was first installed and the software cannot access the folder location specified.
Uninstall the software from the computer
*You might need your IT persons help for this step. Make sure the Bentley folders and their subfolders at the following locations have full administrative privledges and read/write access. A) "C:\Users\user name for the computer\AppData\Roaming" B)"C:\Users\user name for the computer\AppData\Local" C) "C:\Program Files" D) "C:\Program Files(x86)" E) "C:\Program Data"
Go to the folder locations listed below and delete any folders that may be left for the program you uninstalled in step one: A) "C:\Users\user name for the computer\AppData\Roaming\Bentely\" B) "C:\Users\user name for the computer\AppData\Local\Bentley\" C) "C:\Program Files\Bentley" D) "C:\Program Files(x86)\Bentley" E) "C:\Program Data\Bentley"
Download the latest version of the software and the patch set for that version using the instructions below and save the files on your local hard drive. http://communities.bentley.com/products/hydraulics___hydrology/w/hydraulics_and_hydrology__wiki/8175.aspx
*You might need your IT persons help for this step if you are not an administrator on the computer. Locate the program executable file on your hard drive and right click on it. Choose the "Run as Administrator" option for the installation of the software.
Repeat step 5 for the installation of the patch set
Try to start the program. If you have the same issue closing the software please contact technical support for futher help.
