Problem Description

When I go to validate or run my model I get a user notification that says, "The catch basin is the start (upstream) node for more than one gutter. Only one gutter is allowed to come out of a catch basin node."

Steps to Resolve

This user notification is generated because with program is unable to determine the direction of flow for the gutters. The first thing is to check the start and stop nodes for the gutters attached to ta catch basin. It is possible that start and stop nodes are reversed, with two gutters inadvertently using the same catch basin as the start node. You can reverse the start and stop nodes by opening the gutter properties and choose the Node Reversal property field.

Also, the direction of gutter flow is determined based on the rim elevation of the catch basin elements. You will want to make sure you have defined your Elevation (Rim) property for all your catch basins. You can set the rim elevation of the catch basin to the ground elevation by setting "Set Rim to Ground Elevation?" to True.
