Problem
When computing or validating a model, the following user notification is generated:
"The catchment is active but there is no outflow element specified, or the element is invalid or deleted."
Problem ID#: 92415
Solution
This user notification will occur if the outflow node for a catchment is not selected. The outflow node is the node that the runoff from the catchment is directed to. If the catchment is active, the outflow node is required.
You can select the outflow node from the catchment properties or catchment flextables. From the properties, click the cell for Outflow Node and choose Select. The Select toolbar will open, allowing you to select a node from the drawing. This can be a catch basin, transition, cross section or manhole, though a catch basin is the the most common choice. If the Outflow Node column is included in the catchment flextable, you can use the same process to as above to select the outflow node.
