When computing a model with the Implicit numerical solver in SewerGEMS, one of the following user notification appear, and the pump controls do not work as expected:"Pressure engine controls are ignored by the Implicit (SewerGEMS Dynamic Wave) solver. They can only be used with the GVF-Convex (SewerCAD) solver."
"Some pump on/off elevations conflict with Controls. Those on/off elevations are ignored in the calculations. Please run a full validation to find out which pumps are affected."
The "pressure engine controls" in the first message and "Controls" in the second message refer to controls that are configured in the separate Controls manager, from Components > Controls (conditions, actions, control sets, etc). Those type of controls can only be used with the GVF-Convex numerical solver, which is available in SewerGEMS and SewerCAD. This is selected in the Calculation Options.
The "Elevation (on)" and "Elevation (Off)" fields in the pump properties can be used to control pumps in the Implicit, Explicit and GVF-Convex (SewerCAD) solvers. So, if you have controls defined in both places, a conflict can potentially occur with the Implicit or Explicit solver, and generate the second message above.
If you need to set controls to turn a pump on and off when using the Implicit or Explicit (SWMM) dynamic solvers in SewerGEMS, you must enter them in the properties of the pump ( fields).
