When I create a legend from a color coding it's coming in larger than my model. Can I scale the legend to fix it?
1. Right click on the legend and select 'scale'
2. Drag your mouse up or down until you find the appropriate scale and then left click once.
If those steps work great, but if you find the text is too small in relation to the model after performing steps 1 and 2 there are additional steps you can try.
3. Go to Tools > Options > Drawing tab and the first option there is one that controls the scale of the model. If you scale up or scale down in size and then refresh your legend by right clicking on the color coding in the element symbology that the legend is built from and choose the 'Refresh Legend' option. After you do this you'll be able to notice how your legend will change.
4. The other property that controls the size of the legend is the symbol size of the element in the legend. The symbol size can be changed in two places: a) From the drawing tab in the tools > options where you were previously and the third step above and b) is in the element symbology itself by double clicking the element name, which opens the elements properties. For example, if you wanted to change you junction size you would double click on 'junction' in the element symbology to bring up the properties that allow you to change the symbol size multiplier. After you do that you would again need to right click the color coding that the legend is for and use the 'Refresh Legend' option to see the change in size.
