How does the Design point 1 point (single point) curve determine the shutoff head and the max operating flow?
The one point design pump curve can be defined by a single design point (Hd @ Qd). From this point, the curve's interception with the head and discharge axes is computed as Ho = 1.33·Hd and Qo = 2.00·Qd. It should be noted this type of pump should be used for preliminary designs only and should not be used for final analysis.
