Deleted: The one to many feature has been added
When attempting to update with Modelbuilder, why do I see the following message:
"Unable to update Pipe <Label> geometry; one object in the data-source maps to multiple objects in the model."
Why am I not able to update my model after changing the geometry of the data source, when using the GIS-ID feature?
Problem ID#: 42819
At this time, WaterGEMS and WaterCAD do not support cascading geometry updates through one-to-many element mappings. Meaning, if you use the GIS-ID feature to map a single element in the data source to multiple elements in the model, changes to the geometry (X/Y of nodes/vertexes) will not update in the model on subsequent Modelbuilder updates.
This type of update is very complex in some situations, so support will be added for it in a future version. Cascading of data (attribute mapping) is supported across one-to-many element-mappings, but not cascading of geometry.
A feature request has been created for this to report such changes in Modelbuilder summary, reference number is # 659863.
