Problem Description
Can I place comments in the QuadrantCurves.txt file in order to document information about custom 4-quadrant curves that I've entered for pumps or turbines?
Solution
Yes. In the QuadrantCurves.txt file, you can add notes on any lines before the [PUMPS] section, as long as they don't contain "[PUMPS]". For example you could write some notes on either your pumps or turbines at the top, like this:
*** HAMMER AUXILIARY DATA FILE ***
Please read these notes regarding the curves in this library
Specific speed 12345: <notes here....>
Specific speed 15243: <Notes here....>
...
[PUMPS]
SPECIFIC SPEED (US/SI): 12345 / 54321
...
Also as a side note, if you're using the 64-bit version of HAMMER, make sure you modify the copy of the QuadrantCurves.txt file in the "x64" folder in order for it to be recognized. Reference:
