External Customer Meter table blank

Problem

When going to View > External Customer Meters, the table is empty. Rows appear, but values inside the cells are blank.

 

Solution

This can happen if a match was not found between the key field in the external data source and the key field in the model. The key field is a unique identifier that links the model data to the data source. Click the yellow edit button at the top of the External Customer Meter window, click the Settings tab and ensure that the "key field" is set to the field used when you imported the customer meters using Modelbuilder. For instance if you selected "<label>" in Modelbuilder to automatically generate labels in the model, you'll need to select this in the External Customer Meter window in order for it to know which rows in the external data correspond with the label of the customer meters.
