The program hangs when opening an older model project in later release of the software.
First, make sure you have the latest version of the software, as well as the latest update for it.
If that doesn't help with the issue, please try the following.
1. Compact the database file. To do this, close the model, but leave WaterGEMS/WaterCAD open. Go to Tools > Database Utilities > Compact Database. Select the Database file and choose the option to purge the modell to save space.
2. If compacting the database doesn't help, try moving the .wtg and .wtg.sqlite (or .wtg and .wtg.mdb files for the SELECTseries 3 release or older) to a new folder location. Then open the model from the new location.
3. If this doesn't help, try importing the database file. Go to File > Import > WaterGEMS/WaterCAD database.
