Is it possible to delete an element from one scenario, but retain it in the base scenario?Product: WaterGEMS, StormCAD, SewerCAD, SewerGEMS, CivilStorm, PondPackArea: Modeling, Problem ID#: 40530, PROBLEMSOLVING
Because of the way that the data is stored in the database fileassociated with the model, it is not possible to delete an element fromone scenario and have it appear in another. Instead, it is recommendedthat the user created a new Active Topology alternative. The Active Topology alternative is a method of model management thatallows the user to remove certain elements from the model. This isespecially useful if the user needs to model an existing system versus aproposed system. The user will start with a base model and add theproposed elements. This proposed elements will be set to Inactive in anActive Topology alternative when computing the existing system. Aseparate Active Topology alternative with all elements active can becreated for computing a scenario for the proposed system. In this same way, if a user wishes to see the model results with acertain element removed or replaced, a new Active Topology alternativecan be used.
