How can I disable or remove the ArcGIS, MicroStation, and AutoCAD integration option from the Start menu, so a user cannot accidently click on it and integrate the software with those platforms?
The start menu item for the integrator is hard coded, so it will always be installed, however it can be disabled. To disable this link from integrating the software by accident during the installation feature selection dialog you can choose to not integrate with ArcGIS/MicroStation/AutoCAD.
This prevents the files necessary for the platform integration from being deployed. If a user accidently clicks on the option after that it will still pop up the command window that looks like it is integrating the software, but it will not actually do anything. There is also a way to do that during the admin install. The command line would look like this:
msiexec /i setup.msi ADDLOCAL=ALL REMOVE="MicroStation,ArcGIS,AutoCAD,AutoCAD_x64"
