When user calculates the inverts at the junctions using a specific slope, StormCAD is slightly off in calculating the slopes between two segments of pipe. For example, calculating the inverts using a slope of 0.50% across two segments of pipe, StormCAD may sometimes calculate a slope of 0.48% for one segment and 0.52% on the next.
This is a rounding issue. Go to Tools > Options > Project, for V8i versions and Tools > Options >Hydraulic Model for Connect Edition versions, the model is set to round pipe lengths to the nearest 1.00ft (for calculations such as slope).Change this to 0.0, the slope calculations should be exactly what is expected. You may need to re-compute the model.
What does the "Unified length" / "Length (Unified)" field represent?
