Problem

When calculating a model, the following user notification is generated:

"The wrong type of storm event is specified. For SCS or SBUH-based hydrology you should use either a time-depth curve or a time-fraction curve. For rational method based catchments, use an I-D-F curve or a, b, n coefficients."

Solution

This user notification means that the wrong type of storm is being used for the runoff method assigned to the catchment, such as an IDF curve being used with a Modified Rational Hydrograph. Check the storm data and catchment runoff method to assure that correct data is being used.
