Can the extreme flow factor be reported? How can I see the extreme flow / peak factor at every manhole or pipe?Area: Output/Results Presentation, Problem ID#: 47629
The extreme flow factor is not reported anywhere in the current versionof SewerCAD. This is something that has been previously requested and iscurrently being considered for future versions. The difficultyin doing this is that you can have multiple different types of unitloads in a given model and each can have its own extreme flow factormethod applied (via the extreme flow setup dialog). Therefore you may not have aone single factor for a given element. In the meantime, if you have just a single extreme flow factor method, you can calculate the extreme flow factor at each point in the networkby doing this: 1. Run a steady state simulation without the extreme flow factorsapplied (for example make a EFF setup with all unit loads set to aconstant 1.00)
2. Copy the pipe flows (or manhole flow) from the flextable to aspreadsheet
3. Compute the model again with the desired extreme flow factors
4. Copy the flow column of the flexable to the spreadsheet
5. Use a function to compute the extreme flow factor at each pipe bydividing the flow from the second run (with the extreme flow methodapplied) by the flow from the first run (with no extreme flow methodapplied).
