Problem

When attempting to compute a manual or optimized run in Darwin Calibrator, the following error occurs:

"An error occurred when trying to calibrate the model. Please check the model for errors."

Solution

One possible cause of this error, as of version 08.11.05.61, could be the presence of certain special characters in the name of the file. Some possible culprits include: Ạ, Ệ, Ữ, À, Ỉ

Here is a possible solution in that case:

1) Rename the model to exclude any special characters.

2) Go to Tools > Database Utilities > Compact Database and click Yes

3) Go back to Calibrator and compute - it should no longer encounter the error in question. If the error still occurs, check for and try removing special characters in the names of the folders in the path that the model resides.

Defect # 224014 has been filed to investigate improving Calibrator in future versions to prevent the error in the presence of certain special characters.
