Which versions of WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS and HAMMER support which versions of ArcGIS?
Note: HAMMER currently only integrates with ArcMap, not ArcGIS Pro.
A matrix of supported versions of ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro for each version of WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS and HAMMER is available here: Platform Compatibility
For ArcGIS Pro, version compatibility may not follow the same pattern as ArcMap mentioned below. For example version 10.03.02.75 of WaterGEMS and 10.03.03.44 of SewerGEMS support version 2.6 of ArcGIS Pro, and we anticipate higher 2.x versions will also integrate, but version 2.5 and below will NOT.
A note on ArcGIS Pro 3.03.1+ - (updated April 14th, 2023) We are actively working on supporting ArcGIS Pro 3.0 in the next major release of WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS but do not have an estimated release date at this time. WaterGEMS is planned to be released first (Integration with ArcGIS Pro 3.1 (and higher, 3.0 supportNOT included) by is available starting with the end of 2023 , followed by SewerGEMS. Adding ArcGIS Pro 3.0 integration will require more time and testing due to the relatively large change in architecture introduced with this major new release ofArcGIS Pro WaterGEMS (Microsoft .NET 6). For tracking purposes, please use reference number 1166299SewerGEMS coming soon). See: How to receive alerts on new version availability Note that ArcGIS Pro 3.X itself requires the Microsoft .NET 6 Windows component as a prerequisite, see this article.
A note on ArcGIS Pro 2.9 - this version is not supported by version 10.03.04.53 of SewerGEMS and 10.03.05.XX of WaterGEMS. You will need to downgrade to version 2.8 or earlier or upgrade to CONNECT Edition Update 4 (10.04.XX.XX) when available. See: How to receive alerts on new version availability
A note on ArcGIS Pro 2.7 - please contact Technical Support for a patch for WaterGEMS version 10.03.02.75, or upgrade to a newer version. Without the patch, you may notice problems with element layout, rotate and scale.
For more information on ArcGIS Pro integration, see: Overview of WaterGEMS for ArcGIS Pro
If the trial version of ArcGIS Pro uses the same installation file as the fully licensed version, the trial period is likely handled by the licensing (Esri/ArcGIS). If this is the case, WaterGEMS should integrate during the trial period, but you will need to ensure that you have a compatible version per the information above.
For ArcMap, the version shown in the matrix ("Platform Compatibility" link above) represents the latest compatible "minor" version (minor meaning the "x" in 10.x.y) which we have fully tested (certified). So for example if 10.8 is supported, that means 10.8.# (such as 10.8.1, 10.8.2, etc.) is also supported.
Earlier versions of ArcMap are also supported, in that the OpenFlows product will attempt to integrate with it and if a problem arises, Technical Support will assist. However it is generally recommended that you use the latest compatible ArcMap version shown in the above article.
