Is there an easier way to check residual pressures at a hydrant (or other location) for a range of flows?
Yes. With normal base demands entered for your model nodes, simply right click on the hydrant or junction and choose "Hydrant Flow Curve". This will generate a curve of flow versus pressure. Basically, it will run several steady state simulations with various demands on that node, reporting the pressure at the node for each one. For example, if you wanted to see how much flow could pass at 20 psi, you could simply look up the flow for 20 psi on the hydrant flow curve.
1) During the hydrant flow curve calculations, logical/simple controls are not accounted for (whereas they are considered during the automated fireflow routine)
2) In addition to being able to display multiple fire flow tests at once, the fire flow report will also allow you to more easily locate additional details, for example if you have values set for system lower limit or zone lower limits
