Problem

How do I label my contours when using the AutoCAD platform?

When generating a contour for my model in AutoCAD mode, labels are not showing at the ends of the contour lines

Problem ID#: 64467

Solution

When in the AutoCAD platform, you must follow these steps to label your contours:

1) If you have not done so already, create/generate the contour, using the contour manager (View > Contours)

2) Right click your contour entry in the contour manager and choose "Export to native format"

3) Go to the WaterGEMS menu > Tools > Contour labeling. Choose one of the methods to label your contours and select the contours appropriately.

For example, if you want to place labels at the ends of all your contours, choose "group end", click the first contour on the left side of the model, then click the last contour line at the right side.

If you need to change a setting, such as the font height, this is done through the WaterGEMS Tools menu, then Contour labeling > Change settings. After selecting the object, you want to change, you will see further options, including the font height.
