Problem

There is a field that can be added to the FlexTable called "Geometry modified counter". What does this field relate to?
Problem ID#: 90211

Solution

The geometry modified counter is used internally by the program to speed up the execution of drawing synchronization.

The geometry of the drawing file (stored in the .dwh in the standalone version of the program) is recreated from the geometries stored in the database file. The operation is expensive performance-wise, i.e., takes a long time to compute. Thus, we maintain a counter on each geometry when it is modified, matching a counter we keep on the database file. When the drawing file goes out-of-sync, we only synchronize those geometries where the counters between the drawing file and the database are different. This helps significantly on large models if what went out-of-sync were just a few= geometry changes and keeps the computation time down.
