I'm using a DXF file in modelbuilder and I don't get the option to makemy polygon elements into catchments. I only get the option to make themconduits, gutters, or other line type elements. Why is this?Product: StormCAD V8iVersion: 08.11.03.77Area: Data Input/Model Creation, Problem ID#: 85850, PROBLEMSOLVINGSee Also: polygon, modelbuilder, catchment, polygon element, polygonshape, model builder. The way your catchments are setup in your DXF file right nowmodelbuilder is only able to recognize them as polylines. In StormCAD polylines are only conduits or gutters which is why you are only getting those options in modelbuilder to convert the shapes in thefile you have to those elements in StormCAD. What you need to do to fixthis problem is open your file in AutoCAD and set the property titled"Closed" to "Yes" for all the shapes that are going to represent yourcatchment elements in StormCAD. Please see the attached screenshot forwhere this property is located for an element. Once you do this and thensave the file again you can open the dxf in modelbuilder and it will berecognized as having a polygon shape, thereby giving you the option toconvert it into a catchment in StormCAD.
