Problem

How do you direct flow from a channel or conduit into a pond?

Solution

Place an outfall element at the downstream end of the channel or conduit. Open the outfall properties and change attribute Boundary Condition to "Boundary Element". This will enable you to select an outflow node using the Boundary Element field, which would be the pond. Once you select the pond, a dashed line will connect the outfall to the pond, indicating that they are connected.

Note: currently pressure pipes can be connected in this way as well, but not with the GVF-Convex (SewerCAD) Solver. To connect a pumped pressure network to a pond with the SewerCAD solver, first connect the pressure pipe to a manhole or transition element set to an elevation slightly higher than the pond, then connect it to an outfall node via a conduit set to a large diameter so as not to have a hydraulic impact. The outfall Boundary Type can then be set to Boundary Element, with the pond selected. If another pump discharges water out of the pond, then use the wetwell element and connect the pressure pipe directly to the wetwell.
