Problem

How can a user open multiple shapefiles at one time in ModelBuilder through ProjectWise?

Solution

When importing shapefiles through ModelBuilder when the source files are on a local drive, you can click the Browse button in the first step of ModelBuilder and choose more than one shapefile at once. However, in ProjectWise the process is a little different, since multiple file selection is not possible.

Since multiple files cannot be selected as one time, you will need to select the Browse button for each shapefile you want to import. (Note that this workflow will only be used if you are integrated with ProjectWise. See the link in the See Also section below for steps to do this, or see the Help documentation for the hydraulics and hydrology project.)

So, for the first shapefile, select the Browse button, which will open the Open dialog for ProjectWise. Select a shapefile and click Open. This will take you back to the ModelBuilder dialog. To select a second shapefile, choose the Browse button again and choose another shapefile from the Open dialog in ProjectWise. Follow this workflow until all of the shapefiles you want to import have been selected.
