The purpose of this TechNote is to help you understand the OpenFlows Hydraulics and Hydrology (H&H) functionality in Subsurface Utilities, within Bentley's Civil products. It explains which programs it is available in, and the availability of Hydraulics & Hydrology tools within them.
The Hydraulics and Hydrology functionality that is available in the OpenFlows SewerGEMS, CivilStorm, StormCAD and SewerCAD products was introduced in the SELECTseries 4 (SS4) version (08.11.09.845) of Bentley Civil products. Prior to that Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) tools were introduced in SELECTSeries 3 Civil products (version 08.11.09.674+). Since then the CONNECT Edition products have been introduced. These supersede the MX, InRoads, PowerCivil and GEOPAK products.
Here is the list of Civil products for which Hydraulics and Hydrology functionality is available:
Note: this does not apply to these products if they are used in the AutoCAD environment.
Hydraulics and Hydrology functionality will help users design and analyze all underground utilities, in a single product. It contains the following features:

Each version of OpenRoads Designer and OpenSite Designer uses a different version of the OpenFlows technology (SewerGEMS/StormCAD). As with the OpenFlows products, projects saved in a newer version cannot be opened by an earlier version (with respect to the "compatible OpenFlows storm/sewer version" noted below).
Note: to open an OpenRoads/OpenSite project in SewerGEMS, select "DGN" in the Files or Type dropdown in the File Open dialog.
The lowest version supported of OpenFlows product by any version of OpenRoads / OpenSite product is 08.11.05.58.
