When installing a Hydraulics and Hydrology (Haestad) product, the following error message appears: "A newer version of Windows is required."
First, make sure the version of the program is compatible with your operating system. The following link has information on compatibility:
If this does not help, here are some other suggestions:
1) Ensure that the setup file is on your local hard drive, that you are installing to your local drive and that you are signed into Windows with administrative permissions in order to perform installations.
2) The issue may be with the installation file. Try downloading the installation file again and see if that helps. Ensure that you save to a location on your local hard drive and confirm that the download is complete before running.
3) Ensure that there are no other installations already in progress that could be interfering. Check task manager, or wait some time and reboot your computer, then try again.
