One control is changed in the controls tab and it changes another control
Can you duplicate controls?
The two controls are referring to the same condition and/or action, depending on the part of the control statement that is changing.
For example, both controls here refer to the action for pump PU5 with a status of off. If you change one control the other control will change because there is only 1 action (A965) that refers to the off control. See the screen shot below:
If you create a second action with that has a different ID and assign it to the other off control from the first screen shot that will resolve the problem. See the screen shot below for the two different action ID's for pump 5.
In Select Series 6 and newer of the Water product (WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, HAMMER) and Select Series 5 and newer of the Storm and Sewer products (SewerGEMS, CivilStorm, SewerCAD) there is now an option to duplicate controls, which resolves the issue described above. There are two options for duplicating controls. The first is Duplicate control (Full) , which also duplicates the conditions and actions and resolves the problem referred to above. The second is Duplicate (Partial), which duplicates the control, but not the conditions and actions. Please see the screen shot below:
